August 20, 1964 - "Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Clark of Norris Brook Road entertained about 70 friends and relatives on Sunday August 16th with a bountiful picnic dinner which included roast pig and green corn. This energetic and deserving young couple with their five children live on a 415 acre farm and Mr. Clark also works in Corning Glass Works. They gave the picnic in appreciation to their many friends and relatives who had assisted them in the past. It also celebrated the 6th birthday of their oldest child, Mitsie and 28th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Norris Rouse. Musical entertainment was furnished in the evening.".

December 7, 1961 - "Mrs. Glenna I. Butler, formerly of Wellsboro, Pa., who made her home with a son, Miles F. Butler at 67 Perry Avenue, died early Sunday morning, December 3, 1961 at Corning Hospital, where she had been a patient four days. She was the widow of Ivan E. Butler who died in 1952.
Mrs. Butler was born in Tioga County, Pa., July 10, 1886 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Constance Bailey. She had made her home with her son since the death of her husband.
Surviving are: two sons, Miles of Corning and Albert of Asaph, Pa., a daughter, Mrs. William Jubera of Corning; a brother, Fred Bailey of Elmira; a half sister, Mrs. Edith Bailey of Elmira, 16 grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday with the Rev. Edward Scholz of Elmira, officiating. Burial was in Wilawana, Pa.".
