Related by Helen Stanford, wife of Ray Stanford Jr., son of Ray Stanford, that after returning from Perl Harbor, he worked in Ohio for some time, then worked for his father in the glass company and eventually bought the business. Helen says he was a popular football player for Apollo High. He had lots of curly hair and was quite dashing. However he lost that hair long before she met him.
