January 11, 1902 - "Mrs. H. E. Adams and Miss Doretta McAndrews have returned from Dillon, where they spent the New Year, the guests of Mrs. G. W. Emerick."

From the marriage license for George W Emerick and Edna B. Wellman issued on April 5, 1898. Edna is shown as being born in Chicago, IL. MI was shown in the 1900 census. Note also that it appears that Edna's maiden name was Tobin so Wellman must have been from a previous marriage.
