September 23, 1927 - "GLOUSTER, Sept. 23 -- Harley Wemmer of Jacksonville, was taken to Grant hospital at Columbus Wednesday by Dr. C. von Scheele, where he underwent an operation for spinal trouble. The operation was a serious one and Mr. Wemmer will probably be at the hospital for some time. Mrs. Wemmer went to Columbus Thursday Morning to be with him.".

December 29, 1926 - "Joe Wemmer, who for the last twelve days has been suffering with violent hiccoughs is resting a little easier. Mr. Wemmer's condition was so serious that his children were summoned home.".
