October 22, 1971 - "WILLIAMSTOWN - Miss Sara Tibbits Tenney, daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. Sanborn G. Tenney, was married Oct. 18 to Lithgow Osborne of Auburn, N.Y., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Osborne.
The ceremony took place in St. John's Church, with the Rev. Douglas G. Burgoyne officiating.
Mrs. Osborne, a graduate of Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., is librarian at the Williamston Public Library.
Mr. Osborne is publisher of the Auburn Citizen-Advertiser. Previously president of the American-Scandinavian Foundation in New York City, he was conservation commissioner of New York State from 1933-1942 under Gov. Herbert H. Lehman; deputy director general of the U.N. Relief and Rehabilitation Administration 1943-1944; and was the first postwar U.S. ambassador to Norway, 1944-1946, appointed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
His first wife was Countess Lillie Raben-Levetzau of Denmark, who died in December 1970.".
