George Heywood was elected town clerk of Concord, Mass., the other day for the forty-first time. The records of this office have been in charge of the Heywood family for more than a century. - Ex.
Deacon Abiel Heywood, father of the present clerk, served in the same capacity for fully half a century in that historic town. The elder Heywood recorded the births of many distinguished persons during his time, among whom were ex-Attorney General E.
