Sept. 14, 1932 - "Willard King's 89th birthday was celebrated with a surprise party by about 75 friends and relatives who gathered at his home, by bringing a birthday cake and other good things to eat, and wishing him many more enjoyable years."
August 30, 1933 - "Willard King, aged 89 years, died at his home in the Jemison Valley, about two miles and a half from Westfield Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock. He was born in the residence where he died.".
