Chicago, May 15 - "I really believe that I shall go insane of Gov. Yates does not sign the bill giving my husband the $40,000 due for work on the Pontiac reformatory eight years ago." said Mrs. Emma Partello, wife of William Zane Partille last Sunday, as she was preparing to leave for Springfield.
Her words proved to be a prophecy, as she lost her reason in the state capital on Monday when Gov. Yates had vetoed the bill.".
