From Anne Partello Miles, granddaughter of James Lynwood Partello.
"Grandpa mostly lived in the DC area most of his life, he was a contractor who was quite successful. He built a large part of the university of Maryland and he and his second wife, Elizabeth, went all over the US in their plane. Grandpa learned to pilot and loved it. He also loved model trains and owned a hobby shop to fuel his passion for a long time, called the Train Shed. It was in Silver Springs MD.
Grandpa and Grandma were married and divorced twice actually. (He told me) Grandpa also married a girl in between his first and second marriages to my grandmother. it was a short marriage, during the war when he was enlisted and it was annulled quickly. I forget her name but I know Aunt Jackie will know it. I think it was Amelia or something like that. Grandpa was quite the ladies man. I'll send you photos, he looked like a movie star. He married his secretary, Elizabeth after the second divorce from my grandmother and she was the real love of his life. She left her husband for him and they were married oh...40 or 50 years. He was blindly devoted to her.".
