There are conflicting reports on the birth dates for Hope and Nancy. The New York Passenger list seems to be a credible source but so does Register of the General Society of the War of 1812, edited by Col. Frederick Ira Ordway, Jr., 1972, which this shows the following:
Hope born February 25, 1920
Nancy born September 25, 1921
From the Nevada State Journal, Reno, NV.
May 23, 1942 - "The Bulkeleys are certainly doing their bit to win the war. Here is Hope Bulkeley, 20, actress, who has just completed a 12,000 mile tour with the U.S.O. Camp show production, "Out of the Frying Pan." Miss Bulkeley, a native of Hartford Conn., is a cousin of Lieut. John D. Bulkeley, the Navy's famed torpedo boat hero."
Hope became engaged in 1942 but it is suspected it never resulted in marriage. The article appeared in the Hartford Courant of October 11, 1942. An interesting companion piece to this is a 1943 Pond's Make-Up ad featuring Hope Bulkeley and proclaiming "She's engaged!"
The Crowbar Governor info referred to Hope Bulkeley Friedberg. From the November 20, 1998 New York Times, it appears that Hope's stage name was Hope Cameron and that she married Billy Friedberg.
