June 23, 1954 - "Marian Jeanne Paugh, 23, of 215-1/2 North Walnut Street, escaped serious injuries when an automobile she was driving sideswiped a semi-trailer truck about 6 p.m. Tuesday, 1.5 miles west of Van Wert on U.S. route 30.
State highway police reported that the passenger car overturned into a cornfield after it collided with a truck operated by Joseph L. Shutt, 25, of Pine Grove, PA.
The semi-trailer truck was damaged only slightly, but the car was badly damaged. Mrs. Paugh has been cited to appear Saturday before Squire W.G. McKeddie on a charge of driving to the left of center.".
