Here are two articles concerning Terry which appeared in the Lima News of May 1, 1955 and October 21, 1956. As you see, he is referred to as Terry Herbst in the first and Terry McCaslin in the second. The United States Obituary Collection record shows him as Terry Lee McCaslin.
May 1, 1955 - CRIDERSVILLE - Terry Herbst has been chosen by the Cridersville American Legion Post as its representative to Buckeye Boys' State this summer at Camp Perry, He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell B. Herbst."
October 21, 1956 - "FORT KNOX, Ky. - Army Pvt. Terry L. McCaslin, son of Mrs. Wanda W. Herbst, Cridersville, recently completed the second phase of a six-month tour of active duty under the Reserve Forces Act at Fork Knox, Ky.
McCaslin received eight weeks of clerk-typist training after completing basic combat training at the fort.
Men volunteering for the six-month tour of active duty are permitted to finish their military obligation in local Army Reserve or National Guard units. McCaslin is a 1956 graduate of Cridersville High School.".

The death report of Earl McCaslin in the Lima News reports that he was born March 13, 1892 although his WWI registration clearly says March 15. We also have confusion over the marriage date of Earl and Estella. The 1930 census seemed to show 1916 while the article on their 50th anniversary seemed to indicate December 1914. This article says December 16, 1914.
