"EDWARD, the Atheling, called "the Exile", b 1016, d. 1057; m. Agatha (of Hungary or of Friesland)."

From The Lindgren/Tryon Genealogy: The Ancestry of John Ralph Lindgren and Shirley Ann Tryon by J. Ralph Lindgren, 2008.

"1345. Edward "THE AETHELING" of England (Edmund, #1384) was born ca. 1016 at Wessex, England. He married Agatha of Kiev (see #1346), daughter of Grand Prince Yaroslav I "the Wise" of Kiev and Irena Olovsdotter, in 1043 at Kiev, Russia. He died in 1057 at London, Middlesex, England.
After the Danish conquest of the whole of England, Knut "the Great" sent Edward and his brother to Sweeden with the instructions that his half-brother King Oalf, was to kill the infants there. Olaf, however, gave them sanctuary until finally, fearing Knut's wrath, they fled to the court of Jaroslav "the Great" in Kiev ca. 1030. Edward and his brother, Edmund were comrades of Andrew I of Hungary on his campaign to reconquer his kingdom in 1046. He and his family enjoyed the hospitality of King Andrew I of Hungary until being recalled by King Edward "the Confessor" in 1054.
Children of Edward "The Aetheling" of England and Agatha of Kiev (see #1346) were:
1309. i. MARGARET OF.
1346. AGATHA OF KIEV (Yaroslav #1386). Until recently, the parentage of Agatha was hopelessly confused. By the end of the 20th Century progress had been made. Ingham's careful review of the scholarly and genealogical literature concluded that "there is considerable circumstantial and indirect evidence which when viewed as a whole tends to confirm that the Rus' solution is the correct one." That solution identifies her father as Jaroslav I was born in 1025. She married Edward "The Aetheling" of England (see #1345), son of King Edmund II, "Ironside" of England and Ealdgyth of Northumbria, in 1043 at Kiev, Russia. She died ca. 1068.".
