I, Arthur (Pat) Shaw of Jacksonville, am asking to be one of your Trimble Township trustees. I was born and raised in Glouster in No. 6 District. I am 65 years old and son of William and Harriet Shaw. I had one brother, William Shaw Jr. and one sister, Elizabeth Clark, who are deceased. I worked in the coal mines for 35 years but was rejected a pension for the lack of enough years in specified time. I have had 9 years road experience, 4 years for the state and 5 yeas for the county. I have a clean record, never was arrested, nor paid a fine. I married Goldie Wemmer 41 years ago and have four children who also have good records. Your vote will be appreciated Nov. 4th. Thank You.

September 23, 1927 - "GLOUSTER, Sept. 23 -- Harley Wemmer of Jacksonville, was taken to Grant hospital at Columbus Wednesday by Dr. C. von Scheele, where he underwent an operation for spinal trouble. The operation was a serious one and Mr. Wemmer will probably be at the hospital for some time. Mrs. Wemmer went to Columbus Thursday Morning to be with him.".

December 29, 1926 - "Joe Wemmer, who for the last twelve days has been suffering with violent hiccoughs is resting a little easier. Mr. Wemmer's condition was so serious that his children were summoned home.".
