May 30, 1968 - "Emory Rockwell Fulfills Promise at Balgium Locale. Emory B. ROckwell left on Friday, May 10 for Belgium to carry the ashed os Mr. ROckwell to the grave of her son, Lt. Thomas Lloyd Rockwell, who, sith 7,900 other American soldiers lies buried in the U.S. Government Military Cemetery at Henri Chappelle. He went by train from Luxenbour to Liege in Belgium and thence by taxi to the cemetery. He left the ashes at the grave in accordance with Mrs. Rockwell's wish and left immediately for home arriving May 17.
Lt. Rockwell was killed on Christmas Eve., December 24, 1944 in the Battle of the Bulge.
The FInd A Grave Memorial Record also shows his death date as December 24, 1944, however an article in the Wellsboro Gazette from January 1945 reports that he was reported missing on December 24th but was killed on January 12, 1945 according to a war department message received by his parents.
He was buried in Belgium but there is also a memorial in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
