MICHIGAN GOLD MINES
Large Plant to be Erected to Develop the Production.
ISHPEMING, Mich., Nov. 4. - Joseph S. Fay, Jr., of Boston, general manager of the Lake Superior Iron Company; W. G. Mather, of Cleveland, of the Cleaveland Iron Mining company, and a number of other prominent iron men who are interested in the gold discoveries, have been in the city for for the past few days lookng over their property on the gold range, seven miles west of this city. It is generally believed that their visit here will result in building mills to treat the gold ore of Lake Superior and Michigan gold mines. The explorations conducted in the Michigan property show that the entire tract is seamed with quartz veins, all containing gold in greater or lesser quantities. The exploring work so far has given very satisfactory results, and the Michigan company's stockholders feel justified in building a large mill. The enlargement to the mill of the Rope's gold mine, now being built, will make that mill one of the largest of its kind in the country.
