"Charles R. Yuill, 64, of New Lenox, Ill, a native of Lafayette, died Tuesday night at a Joliet. Ill hospital.
He was formerly employed on the Monon railroad here, and was a member of the Congress Street Methodist Church. He had worked in the auditors office of the Rock Island railroad in Chicago for 30 years. His widow and three children survive. Funeral and burial in Chicago.".7

Provided by Elaine Bell, "Around 1864, Mary and her husband Andrew Yuill and family emigrated to the US, settling in Indiana. In September the previous year CCA and his wife (Janet, daughter of Andrew Yuill and stepdaughter/sister-in-law of Mary) and their two children emigrated to New Zealand via Glasgow, arriving at Dunedin on the ship "Aboukir" in January 1864.

"Word has been received by L.R. Yuill, 197 South Twenty-Seventh street, of the death of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Hessie Mulkins Yuill, 74 widow of Charles R. Yuill, formerly of Lafayette.
Mrs. Yuill diued June 23 in a hospital at Joliet, Ill. Having resided in Lafayette, she left the city with her husband 26 yhears ago for residence in New Lenox, IL. The body was taken to Chicago for burial.".14
