Chloe had two brothers, Timothy and Silas, who also moved with their families to Vermont. She is identified as the wife of Samuel with children in Sons & Daughters of American Loyalists, p. 268. The Rose Family Record indicates a birthdate of 12-20-1743, apparently based on the Moses Rose bible, in which the year is partly illegible. It isquite likely she was actually born in Salem, Westchester, but appears on the records of the Ridgfield Church, as the family resided in Salem by that time, but the church there was not yet built. It is also claimed that Chloe married Jonathan Robinson of Fairfield (Canfields in England &the US - Marjorie R. McElhose).
The Haldimand Lists (undated, about 1783) shows Mrs. Samuel Rose with 2 males over 12, 3 males 6-12, and 3 females under 6. Chloe Rose appears in the Augusta list of residents in 1800, so it is assumed she died there.
