Clair's obituary said that he had five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

From the Clio Messenger:

May 19, 1921 - "Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hicks and family spent Sunday in Mayville with friends."

November 17, 1921 - "Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hicks and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Lossee, at Flint."

1926-09-02 - "Clair Hicks was taken to St. Louis Sunday for two weeks treatment of St. Louis baths."

1928-03-08 - "Mr. and Mrs. Clair Hicks and family have discontinued their meat market and are moving to Owosso, where they will open a meat market. The best wishes of their many friends go with them to their new home. They have rented their building to Mr. Corwin who will move his tire and battery shop from the Grange building and it is also understood will also sell gas and oil.".
