HUNTER _ Russell James, May 2nd, 1914 - November 8th, 1999, has left his many friends. Russell was an inveterate volunteer and his influence will be sadly missed, especially for his work with the elderly and handicapped. He leaves to mourn his wife Joan, his sons Glen and Gary, and step-children Wesley, Margaret, Christine and Joan. The world was a better place because he lived. No service by request. Annie May is buried in the same grave as a 10 month old infant, Myrtle Blanch Taylor, who died August 29, 1908. The death registration of the child does not say who her parents were or what her birth date was. (Was Myrtle an illegitimate child of Annie May? or was the Taylor family trying to reserve the grave space for other relatives?).

James was born in Ontario. Annie Mary, a spinster aged 23, is the daughter of Samuel Taylor and Rebecca Anthony. Annie was also born in Ontario. James was a Methodist and Annie a Presbyterian. The marriage took place at 400 Cordova Street East in Vancouver. Rev. E. W. Fraser, D.D. officated. Witnesses were Roy Simpson of Vancouver and Susan Fraser of Vancouver. The marriage took place on June 30, 1910, Registration #1910-09-061663.
