"Warren Rose, proprietor of the old Halfway House was arrested by Constable Hickey a while ago for selling beer without a license and taken to Pontiac, but proprioetor and constable came back the same day leaning on each other's arms."
Another article in the February 28, 1889 Birmingham Eccentric mentioned that "Mr. Warren Rose, of Roseville", was a guest at a birthday party for Charlotte Bailey Rose.
