"GARLAND-Ursel Steven Rose. 69, died Tuesday at 8 a. m. at his home here of a heart attack. Mr. Rose was bom In May, 1867, at Farmlnaton, the son of Alley S. and Alvira Smith Rose, and married Nellie Burns tn February, 1896. Following his marriage. he moved to Garland, where he had since resided. He was an active worker in the L. D. S. church, being high priest at the time of his death. He is survived by a son. Horace Rose, Garland, and a daughter, Helen Rose, Ogden; also the following brothers and sisters: Henry S. Rose, Tremonton; L. A. Rose, Plymouth; Mrs. J. W. Haws, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. A. J. Barber, St. Anthony, Idaho. Funeral services have not been arranged. Wed Dec 2-36".

March 17, 1880 - "Fiftieth Wedding Day. - Father Abraham Rose, of Farmington, on last Sundy evening was the recipient of a party tendered by his relatives and friends, in honor of the 50 anniversary of his wedding day. President Smith of the Stake, Bishop Hess and a number of other old friends were among the guests, and a very happy time was spent in singing, reciting, and the various enjoyments which the nature of the occasion inspired. Father Rose and his estimable wife will long remember their golden wedding.".
