September 11, 1908 - "West Saunders, of Howell, R. K. Rose, of Clio, and Freeman Caster, of Millington, were the guests of R. H. Rose and family last week."

July 8, 1910 - "West Sanders and Miss Millie Harmel, of Howell, are visiting friends here [RO] this week."

July 15, 1910 - "Wert Saunders and Miss Millie Harmel, who have been visiting relatives here the past week, have returned to their home in Howell."

September 22, 1912 - "Went Saunders of Howell was the guest of relatives here [RO] this week."

September 27, 1912 - "Dent Saunders, who has been visiting friends here [RO], has returned home."

September 26, 1913 - "Wert L. Saunders of Howell was the guest of his cousin R. H. Rose several days last week."

September 11, 1914 - "Wert L. Saunders, of Howell, is spending a few days with relatives in town."

July 2, 1915 - "George M. Saunders and Wert L. Saunders, of Howell, were the guests of their cousin, R. H. Rose, and family, this week."

September 5, 1919 - "W. L. Saunders of Howell is the guest of his cousin R. H. Rose and other relatives this week."

September 15, 1922 - ""Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Burley of Clio, Wert L. Saunders and Louis Harding of Howell; and Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wright and son, Harold, of Detroit, were the guests of R. H. Rose and family, 218 West Harrison street, over Sunday.".

Though there appear to be no marriage records for Wirt, it appears he was married at one time according to a notice of real estate transfer from the October 11, 1911 Livingston Democrat, Howell.

August 30, 1918 - "Justice Rose and daughter Gladys will motor to Howell Saturday and bring back with them Mr. and Mrs. Edward Saunders, who will spend a few days at the State Fair."

"Saunders, Edward F., buys land in Sec. 8, Marion, SE-SW, Apr. 7, 1852, of ?. Sell some in 1854, of Iosco. In census of Marion, 1860. (his heirs were William N., John W., wife Ella, Edward H., Christine, George M., wife Ella, and Alice PEARSON)"

August 1, 1894 - "Edward F. Saunders, of Marion, aged 79 years, died at his home in that township on Sunday last. He was one of the pioneer settlers of this county, having lived in the township of Marion for upwards of 40 years, and had an extended acquaintance throughout the county. He leaves a widow and a family of five grown up children. The funeral was held yesterday and the remains were laid to rest in the Lake cemetery.".
