A newspaper article reported that Mark Hall visited his little Granddaughter at Toronto, Ont. In the April 16, 1920 edition of the Birmingham Eccentric, Social and Personal column, Margeline Parmenter entertains her high school friends at an informal dancing party at her country home east of Birmingham. Guests are reported to have roasted "weenies" and marshmallows in a large grate fire in the library. From the 1920 Baldwin High School Yearbook: "Not that I love study less, but that I love fun more. Glee Club, '17, M.L.C. Toronto, '18, Junior Play '19, Literary, '17, '19; President, '20, Vice-president, Class '20, Agriculture Society, '20, Chaffee Noble School of Expression." Margeline continued her education after High School at Williams Conservatory in Ithaca, NY.

From the Birmingham Eccentric, March 27, 1925.

"Mrs. Stephen P. Toadvine, 2nd, with her small daughter, Martha, arrived the early part of this week for a short stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy W. Parmenter, who are spending the winter at their country home on Crooks road. Mrs. Toadvine will be remembered as Margeline Parmenter, a popular member of the younger set here several years ago. She now resides in Syracuse New York"

Margeline Parmenter Toadvine was listed in the 1900 and 1910 Troy Township census as Martha. The Social Security Death Index also gave her name as Martha. Apparently she used both names.
