From the Saginaw News, January 11, 1943 - "Henry Kirk Rose, 77, a resident of Birch for 15 years, died Sunday at his home. He was born April 20, 1865, in Detroit. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Anneta Wangbichler of Detroit; three sons, John of Durand, Mark of Taymouth township and George Rose of Topeka, Kan; three sisters, Mrs. George Wright of Detroit, Mrs. Ina Blight of Genesee county and Mrs Salie Service of Clio. The funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Watson funeral home, Birch Run, Rev. W.H. Clark will officiate and burial will be in Pine Run."

1924-05-15 - "Tom. Carter and family and Ed. Lowell and family visited H. K. Rose and family, at Burt, Sunday. Mrs. Rose is ill from pneumonia."
1926-05-06 - "Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wright were called to attend the funeral of Mrs. Kirk Rose in Burt, Saturday. They spent Saturday night and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carter."

April 29, 1926 - "Mrs. Maude Rose, 51, a resident of Taymouth township for the past 38 years, died Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary's hospital after a year's illness. She was born in Wood County, Ohio, September 14, 1874, coming to Birch Run with her parents when a small child. She was married July 25th 1892 to Henry K. Rose, who survives her. She also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Annetta (sp) Wanzeichler (sp), Detroit; three sons, Pridgeon Rose, Durand, and Mark and George Rose, Taymouth, and two sisters. Mrs. Ida Saylor of Illinois and Mrs. Lottie Greer of Gladwin. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday from the home and will be private. Rev. George Cripp will officiate and burial will be in Vienna cemetery.".
