August 31, 1949 - "SULLIVAN HOME BURNED - The house occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Bryant and family in Sullivan township was destroyed by fire. The family was at the home of Mr. Bryant's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bryant, when the fire was discovered, but they were unable to save the building or contents."

October 5, 1949 - "Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Bryant, of Mansfield, Sept. 26, a son.".
