"SCHOLZ, Rev. Edward R., Age 72, of Memorial Home Community, Penny Farms, Florida, formerly of Penna. Ave., Elmira, Friday, November 12, 1971 in Florida. Funeral will be hold Monday in Florida. Body will arrive in Elmira Tuesday afternoon. Friends may call at the Hagerman Funeral Home Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. Committal services will be held Tuesday at 9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard E. Adamy of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, Penna. He is survived by wife Rachael B. Scholz of Penney Farms, Florida; daughter, Mrs. Richard E. Slocum of Tucson, Arizona. He was a retired Methodist minister having served 22 years at St. John's Methodist Church, Elmira and also was associate pastor of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee for American LaFrance, and a member of the Masons and Odd Fellows. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Centenary United Methodist Church.".

"Scholz, Rachael B., age 79 of Penny Farms, Florida, formerly of Elmira, Wednesday November 19, 1975 in Florida. No prior calling hours. Friends may call at the Hagerman Funeral Home Wednesday at 1L30 p.m. for funeral and committal services, the Rev. William Swales, of the Centenary United Methodist Church officiating. Burial Oakhill (Oakwood) Cemetery., Mansfield, Pa. Survived by foster daughter Mrs. Richard E. Slocum of North Carolina; several neices and nephews. Mrs. Scholz was a member of The Rebbecca's, the Order of The Eastern Star and United Commercial Travelers. She was the widow of the late Edward R. Scholz.".

June 12, 1890 - "While peeling bark a few days ago Eugene Bailey, of Mansfield, struck a hemlock knot. His axe glanced and inflicted an ugly gash in one of his knees."

July 25, 1925 - "Eugene Bailey died unexpectedly Saturday night at 7:15 o'clock at the family home in Elmira, aged 57 years. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Edward Scholz, of Mecklenburg, and two brothers, Fred, of Mansfield, and D.M. Bailey, of Elmira. He was a member of the Queen City I.O.O.F., the Loyal Order of Moose, the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, and the Pennsylvania avenue M.E. church.".

April 20, 1910 - "Mrs. Sarah E. Bailey, aged 63 years, wife of Mr. Constant Bailey, died of heart disease at 2 o'clock last Friday morning at her home on Fellows avenue, in this borough. She was a daughter of the late Wilder and Delaney Patterson Lunn, and was born on December 9, 1846. Four daughters and one son survive her - Mrs. Miles Jackson, of Wilawana, Bradford county, Mrs. Eugene Bailey, of Elmira, Mrs. Ivan Butler, of Asaph, Mrs. Almon Smith, of Fort Meyer, Florida, and Fred Bailey, of Wellsboro. One sister, Mrs. Fred Fellows, of Mainesburg, also survives her. She was a member of the M.E. church of Marshcreek. The funeral was held Sunday, at 2 p.m., Rev. J.W. Totten, of Marshcreek, officiating; burial in the Wellsboro cemetery.".
