August 22, 1974 - "Mrs. Mildred L. Bailey, wife of Ross B. Bailey, of 171 South Main Street, Mansfield, died Saturday, August 17, 1974, her 78th birthday anniversary, in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church.
She was also a member of the auxiliary of the Rural Letter Carrier
Born August 17, 1896, in Covington, she was a daughter of Nelson L. and Carrie Knowlton Whitteker.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Laurence R., of Shinglehouse, and Leonard M., of Elmira, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs Anna Fast, of Bethany Center, Horseheads, N.Y., and Mr John Strong, of Mansfield; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Kuhl Funeral Home, 18 North Main Street. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery.
The Rev. Richard Brenneman, her pastor, officiated.".
