"ROE, Russell R. - Of Clio, age 69, died Friday, March 4, 1994 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 8, 1994 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 5375 W. Mt. Morris Rd. in Mt. Morris, Rev. Doug Klein officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Montrose Chapel of Whipple Funeral Homes, 239 E. Hickory St. on Sunday from 5-9 PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-9PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Mr. Roe was born in St. Helen, Michigan July 21, 1924, the son of Herman and Lola (Wright) Roe. He has resided in the Flint area most of his life. He married Evelyn Torrenga November 16, 1957 in Muskegon. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Russell was employed as a carpenter most of his live. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially his grandchildren. Surviving are: wife, Evelyn, son, Mark and wife Barbara of Clio and grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Kaitlin; 2 brothers, Kenneth and wife Pat of Flint, Eugene and wife Sharon of St. Helen. He was proceeded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.".

Mrs. Roe was born December 26, 1897 in Clio, Michigan. Surviving are: 7 sons, Irving M., Basil A., Herman J., all of Lupton, Michigan, Kenneth R., Russell R., both of Flint, Wilford R., Eaugene G., both of St. Helen, brother Laverne Wright of Westland; sister Lillian LaPratt of Pontiac.".

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 1972, at Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral Home, Rev. Floyd Wehner officiating. Committal services will be held at Parkview Memorial Gardens, Plymouth Mich. at 1pm. Mrs. Wright was born in Ingham County, Michigan, April 12th, 1872 and had lived in this area over 50 years. Mrs. Wright celebrated her 100th birthday last April. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Ypsilanti. Surviving are: 3 daughters, Mrs. Eva Stewart of Orlando, Florida, Mrs. Lola Roe of Flint and Mrs. Lillian LaPratt of Keego Harbor, Michigan; 2 sons, LaVerne Wright of Grand Blanc and Earnest Wright of Flint.
