January 8, 1944 - "Mr. Doyle L. Mierley, District Rationing Executive and Mr. Maynard E. Meckes, District Food Associate Rationing Officer, have a arranged a meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 12, 1944, at 8 p.m. in Municipal Bldg. Clearfield with restaurant owners, clubs, hotels and other types of eating places. Local Board Food Clerks and Food Panel Members will also attend.
At this meeting Mr. Meckes will issue instructions on supplemental registration and daily record keeping. At the present time, some supplemental forms that have been received have been incorrectly prepared and improperly submitted insofar as the information contained there-on. This has necessitated duplicate contracts. A more complete and proper understanding upon the part of those persona engaged in furnishing meals for the public will make for better allocation of food.".
