November 22, 1933 - "Miss Marie Simerson and Stuart Wheeler called on M. and Mrs. Elijah Peake, of Wellsboro, Friday night."

December 20, 1933 - "Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wheeler spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Peake, of Wellsboro."

January 10, 1934 - "A variety shower will be held in the Grange hall at Cherryflats Friday evening, Jan. 12, for Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wheeler. Please bring cake, sandwiches, and pickles. Everybody welcome."

May 21, 1941- "Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wheeler and children, Helen and Gary, Morton Wheeler and Hilda Colegrove motored to Elkland and Jersey Shore Sunday."

May 10, 1916 - "Leon Simerson has purchased a very fine three-year old colt of Dan Ford."

Febraury 28, 1917 - "The dogs visited Leon Simerson;s sheep Sunday and did a lot of damage."

May 17, 1923 - "The farm house of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Simerson, of Covington, was destroyed by fire a few days ago, with all its contents, entailing a loss of about $1,500."

December 23, 1936 - "The house of Mr. and Mrs. Lwon Simerson caught on fire Sunday about 12:30, but was put out before much damage was done."

March 10, 1960 - "Leon R. Simerson, 72, of Covington RD 1 died Saturday March 5, 1960 at his home in Cherry Flats.
He was born October 15, 1887 in Covington the son of Floyd and Ruth Clemons Simerson, He was a retired farmer and with his wife the former Pearl Ford celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary February 13.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Pearl Ford Simerson, he is survived by two daughters, Miss Thelma Simerson of Hammondsport, NY and Mrs. Marie Wheeler of Mansfield and a brother Fred Simerson of Newark Valley, NY
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Cherry Flats Baptist Church with the Rev. George Keith officiating. Burial was in Cherry Flats Methodist Cemetery.".

February 4, 1960 - "Local Couple To Observe Wedding Anniversary Feb 13 - Mrs. Marie Wheeler of Mifusfield and Miss Velma Simerson a teacher at Hammondsport will be hostesses at an open house February 13 from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p m honoring their parents Mr. and Mrs. Leon Simerson of Cherry Flats who will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on that day.
Leon Simerson son of Floyd and Ruth Simerson and Pearl Ford daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ford were united in marriage February 13, 1910 by. Dr. William H. Hunt. They were attended by Miss Mollie English the bride's sister and Jake McMahon. They traveled from Cherry Flats to Charleston with horses and cutter through three feet of snow sometimes forced off the road and into fields and over fences.
As newlyweds they went to love on their farm on the State Road outside Cherry Flats and after their home burned in 1925 they moved to Cherry Flats.
In addition to their two daughters Mr. and Mrs. Simerson have tow grandchildren. They are affiliated with the Baptist Church in Cherry Flats.".
