Wilcox returned Thursday from a business trip to New York relative to a South American deal which involves the building of several hundred miles of electric railway both for passenger and freight service, in which English capital is to be largely represented. Mr. Wilcox's associates in the country are principally California capitalists".

"OLD NEWSPAPERMAN IS DEAD IN DETROIT - William O. Wilcox, who started his newspaper career on The News a quarter century ago, and who was identified with many of the largest publications in the middle west, died Sunday in Detroit after a period of ill-health which lasted several months. On the arrival of a sister from Los Angeles, an announcement of funeral arrangements will be made. Wilcox's career included important positions on the Cincinnati Post, Cleveland World, Minneapolis Daily News ad Chicago Inter-Ocean. He was born in Detroit, the son of Capt. Orville Wilcox, of Trowbridge & Wilcox, ship chandlers.".
