March 16, 2003 - "Neva Loder Newcomb, 94, passed away March 12m 2003, in Bountiful, Utah. She was born April 26, 1908, in Bountiful, UT to Lawrence and Ann Loder. Neva married William R. Newcomb Nov. 27, 1930, who preceded her in death, 1972. Neva was able to travel extensively, and in her later years she devoted most of her time to genealogy work. She was a faithful member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, having served twice as captain of the Ellen Buckland Loder Camp.
The family would like to thank all of her care givers for their dedication and support.
Neva has been a great inspiration to all who knew her. She created many wonderful memories. Her strong will, bright smile, and positive attitude will always be remembered.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Day (Paul), Bountiful, UT; son, Richard R. Newcomb (Helen), San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Kimberly Day Youngblood, Stephen Day both of Bountiful, UT, Richard Newcomb Jr., Rockville, MD, William Newcomb, Stephenville, TX; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be Mon. March 17, 2003, 12 noon Bountiful 1st Ward Chapel, 51 S. Main. Friends and family may call Sun., March 16, 2003, 5-7 p.m. Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful. There will be an hour visitation prior to the funeral at the Bountiful 1st Ward Chapel. Burial, Bountiful City Cemetery.

March 14, 1938 - "CENTERVILLE --Services for Charles Duncan, 83, life-long resident of Davis County, who died here Wednesday of a heart aliment, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., in the Centerville Second Ward, Bishop Joseph N. Ford officiating.
Mr. Duncan was born in Layton, May 22, 1854, but moved with his parents to Centerville in the fall of that year, where he has resided with the exception of ten years spent in Syracuse. Mr. Duncan, with his brothers, was a mason for many years. He helped to erect many brick and rock structures throughout Davis County and the surrounding area.
He married first Catherine Rice, who died leaving six children, five of whom are still living. His second wife was Margerettha Zanther, mother of nine children, two of whom survive.
Surviving are Charles Duncan, Tensleys, Wyo., William K. Duncan, Roy: Ann D. Loder, Bountiful: Lavilla Shill, Malta, Ida., Laura D. Coles, Santa Monia, Calif.: and Clifford S. and Elmer B. Duncan, Centerville; also 30 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a brother and a sister: Arch Duncan and Sara D. Backman, Centerville.
Friends may call at the Ira Holbrook Mortuary in Bountiful, Saturday or at the family home Sunday until time for the services.".

July 11, 1913 - "William Rice, a pioneer of 1847, being a member of the first company that crossed the plains, and a resident of Farmington for considerably more than half a century, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dahl Duncan, in Farmington, Monday. He was perfectly helpless for two months before the end came.
He had been a widower for a great many years, but is survived by a large number of children who reside in different parts of this western country.
Funeral services were held in the Farmington meeting house yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.".
