September 26, 1974 - "Miss Luanne Bartlett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bartlett, Mansfield, RD 3, and Mark Kriner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Kriner, Covington, exchanged wedding vows in a double ring ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 1974. Rev. Kermit C. Clickner of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ performed the ceremony in the church which was beautifully decorated with fall flowers and gladiolas. . . .".

November 6, 1940 - "A cow, owned by H.B. Cloos, of Middle bury, was killed at 5:45 p.m., Sunday when it was struck by a car driven by Harry Bartlett of Middlebury.
The animal, valued at $75.00, was the first of the herd being driven across Route 84, one-half mile north of Middlebury Center. Mr. Bartlett said because of approaching dusk he did not see the cow until it was hit. Damages to his car were placed at $25.00."
March 22, 1944 - "Miss Edna Walnorn, of Mansfield, Miss Helen Bartlett, Mrs. Lawrence Bartlett, of Middlebury Center and Pvt. Harry E. Bartlett, from Valley Forge General Hospital, Phoenixville, Pa., were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berg."

"Harry E. Bartlett, 71, of RD 3, Mansfield, died Friday, April 24, 1992, as a result of an automobile accident. Born July 23, 1920, in MIddlebury Township, he was the son of Lawrence and Ada Luther Bartlett. He was a member and deacon of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ Disciples, a member of the Theodore Roosevelt American Legion Post #167, of Morris Run; the East Sullivan Grange; the Tioga County Pomona Grange and Seventh Degree Grange. He was a 30- year employee of the Tioga Petroleum Company. He was an avid horseman with a fondness for draft horses and was a participant in many area parades. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was proceeded in death by a son Terry, in 1955, Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Edna Walborn Bartlett; one son, Edward; one daughter and son-in-law, Luanne and Mark Kriner; three grandsons, Jason, David and Gary Kriner, all of Mansfield; one sister, Helen Foster, of Osceola; one brother, Donald, of Little Rock, Ark., several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield, Monday, April 27. The Rev. Kermit Clilckner, his former pastor, officiated. Burial was made at the Watson Cemetery in Roseville. The family provided flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.".

August 6, 1953 - "Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bartlett, RD 1, Middlebury Center, PA., celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary Sunday, August 2, at the home of the formers' sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Barden, RD 1, Mansfield.
Mr. Lawrence Bartlett and Miss Ada Luther were married in Pine City, N.Y. Aug . 5, 1903 by the Rev. Van Kirk. They have nine living children: Ernest, Tioga, Mrs. Edith Berg, Wellsboro; Mrs. Ida Dilding, Binghampton, N.Y.; Louis, Mansfield; Paul, Elkland; Mrs. Ruth Allen, Blossburg; Donald and Harry, Mansfield; and Mrs. Helen Foster, Osceola. They have 29 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
About 50 relatives and friends attended the gathering. Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett received many nice gifts.
Entertainment was furnished by James Allen and Donald Welch with the accordion and guitar. Donald and Ronald Allen also sang."
May 29, 1958 - "Lawrence Horace Bartlett, 79, of Middlebury Center, died Sunday, May 25, 1958, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
He was born June 26, 1878 in Tioga, son of David and Jennie Bartlett. For many years he was a farmer. He was also a retired State Highway Department employee.
Mr. Bartlett was a member of the Keeneyville Independant Order of Odd Fellows.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ada Bartlett; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Berg, Wellsboro, Mrs. Ida Dildine, Binghampton, Mrs. Ruth Allen, Blossburg, Mrs. Helen Foster, Osceola; five sons, Ernest, Tioga, Paul, Osceola, Louis, Donald and Harry, Mansfield; one sister, Mrs. Emma Barden, Mansfield. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The Rev. Orey Crippen, Roseville, will officiate at funeral services.
Services will be held in Keeneyville Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Middlebury Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the family home.".

April 21, 1960 - "Mrs. Ada Luther Bartlett, 75, died Sunday, April 17, 1960 at Blossburg State Hospital.
She was born January 18, 1885 in Niles Valley, the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Short Luther, and was a member of the Methodist Church here.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edith Berg of Wellsboro RD, Mrs. Ida Dildine of Binghampton, N.Y., Mrs. Ruth Allen of Blossburg and Mrs. Helen Foster of Osceola; five sons, Ernest of Tioga, Louis and Harry of Mansfield, Donald of Covington and Paul of Osceola; 34 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Keeneyville Methodist Church with the Rev. Orey Crippen officiating. Burial was made in Middlebury Union Cemetery.".

February 16, 2002 - Edna M. (Walborn) Bartlett, age 78, formerly of Mansfield, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002 at the Green Home in Wellsboro, Pa. She was born on June 19, 1923, in Granville Summit, a daughter of the late Allen and Cora J. (Case) Walborn. Edna was 1 1941 graduate of Troy High School. On Sept. 19, 1944, she married Harry E. Bartlett and together they celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing on April 24, 1992. Edna was employed as a machinist for Mansfield Novelty. She was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ (Disciples), where she held many offices, inclining elder emeritus. Edna was a seventh-degree member of Pomona Grange. She was a former volunteer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society of Tioga County. Edna also volunteered at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, handcrafts and her family. Edna is survived by her son, Edward L. Bartlett of Mansfield; daughter, Luanne S. (Mark) Kriner of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jason (Billie Jo) Kriner, David (Emily) Kriner and Gary Kriner of Mansfield, and Gary's special friend, Eve Martin of State College, Pa., great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Justin and Samantha Kriner of Mansfield; her sister, Esther (Louis) Adams of Mansfield; her sisters-in-law, Neva Bartlett of Arkansas and Muril Walborn of Wellsboro, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Terry A.. Bartlett, in 1955; brothers Lawrence, Louis and Leon; and sisters Lillian, Lura, Eunice, Hazel, Lula, Katie and in infant sister. Friends are invited to call at the Scureman Funeral Home, Inc., 130 S. Main St., Mansfield, on Sunday, Feb 17, 2002, from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Monday, Feb. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Canoe Camp Church of Christ (Disciples), 1104 S. Main St., Mansfield. The funeral will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Kirk Smethers officiating. Interment will be in Watson Cemetery, Roseville, Pa. Memorial contributions in Edna's name may be directed to the Canoe Camp Church of Christ (Disciples) Memorial Fund, 1104 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pa. 16933.".
