October 23, 1918 - "Stewart Bartlett, who has been substitute R.D. carrier here for some time, has gone to Elmira and will go into railroad work there. He was accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Clark Bartlett, and his niece, Viola Bartlett.".

December 7, 1880 - "On Thursday the case of Clark Bartlett, indicted for adultery, was tried, the jury finding the defendant not guilty."

October 21, 1891 - "As Clark Bartlett was pumping water the other day he heard a very peculiar sound, and every drop of water suddenly went out of the well. The bottom literally dropped out."

July 26, 1899 - "An incubator, three brooders and 150 young chickens and turkeys, the property of Mr. Clark Bartlett, of Mill Creek, were burned recently by a fire that started in one of the brooders."

June 19, 1918 - "Clark Bartlett died in the Sayre hospital Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Bartlett had been in poor health for a number of years with heart trouble and a complication of diseases. While his condition of late had been known to be quite serious, yet the announcement of his death was a shock. He was a veteran mail carrier, having been continually in such service for the government for the past forty-five years and more. His age was 65 years and he is survived by his widow, three sons and two daughters. The funeral took place yesterday; burial in Evergreen cemetery, Tioga.".

August 26, 1890 - "Mr. Horace Bartlett, one of our citizens had a stroke of paralysis last Sunday evening. His recovery is doubtful."

August 26, 1890 - "Mr. Horace Bartlett, of Tioga, was rendered perfectly helpless by a stroke of paralysis on Sunday of last week. He is 74 years of age and his recovery is not anticipated."

April 8, 1896 - "Horace Bartlett died at Painter Run April 3rd, age 82. Born Warren Co., NY., left Joseph, David, Clark, all of Tioga twp.; Mrs. Emerson Peck of Lambs Creek; and Mrs. Wm. Redington of Covington."
