June 19, 1941 - "Mansfield - The marriage of Miss Ruth Ellen Knowlton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Knowlton, of Canoe Camp, to Donald G. Avery, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Avery, of Troy, took place at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Church of Christ in Canoe Camp. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Clifton Dawson, pastor.....Mr. Avery's brother, Dale Avery, was best man...".
