When a sedan driven by Lee Wilcox, of Wellsboro, stalled on the Pennsylvania avenue crossing on the Erie Railroad in Elmira Saturday afternoon, it was struck and demolished by the Erie Special, No. 2, eastbound, but the three occupants of the car escaped with slight injuries.
In the car with Mr. Wilcox were his daughters, Miss Luva Wilcox, of 251 Lormore street, Elmira, and Miss Ida Wilcox, of Wellsboro. The former two were not injured while the latter received a slight cut on the hand.
When the accident occurred Mr. Wilcox's machine had been proceeding north on Pennsylvania avenue. The car slowed on the grade leading to the tracks and stalled on the south track. The three occupants succeeded in vacating the car just before the train hit it.

At 8:30 p.m. Saturday Mr. Wilcox informed police headquarters that a black leather billfold had been missing since the accident. According to his statement, the billfold contained either $38 or $39 in bills.
