October 1, 1985 - "Ora B. Crego, D.D.S., a Metro Detroit dentist for 50 years and former president of the Old Newsboys Goodfellow Fund, died Sunday in his West Bloomfield Township home. He was 83.
Dr. Crego was a 1923 graduate of the University of Michigan Dental College. He practiced dentistry in Detroit, Birmingham and the Bloomfield area.
President of the Old Newsboys in 1953, Dr. Crego could be found every year at Christmas time selling the group's newspapers at Grand River and Woodward.
An ardent bowler, Dr. Crego was a member of the Detroit Athletic Club Hall of Fame and was a past president of the DAC bowlers group. He also served as an official for PGA and USGA golfing events at the Oakland Hills Golf and Country Club where he was a lifetime member.
Survivors are his wife, Betty, and a son, Jonathan. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Vasu Rodgers and Connell Funeral Home, Royal Oak.".

October 9, 1936 "35 Years Ago" column - "Guy Lyon, Will Crego and Jim Smith have secured positions as conductors on the United Railway in Detroit, the former on Jefferson Avenue and the others on Michigan avenue. The company will find these young men honest and trustworthy."
June 28, 1935 - "Mr. and Mrs. Millard F. Crego and son, Ronald, of Sioux City, Iowa, left for their home Wednesday after a very enjoyable week's vacation at the home of the former's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Sheldon. On Sunday, Mr. Crego's brother, Dr. Ora Crego, and his mother, Mrs. Grace Crego, of Detroit, also Mrs. Eda McCarty, of Oxford, were guests at the same home."
