October 28, 1965 - "Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sears and family formerly of Pontiac, Mich., have purchased and are living in their new home at RD 2, Painted Post on Meade Creek Road.
Arden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sears is teaching in the Corning School District. He is in the instrumental and vocal music department at Beaver Valley and Kent Phillips Schools.
His wife is the former Sharon Grosjean.".

July 30, 1959 - "The Methodist Church choir had a picnic shower last Thursday at Woodland Park, honoring Miss Sharon Grosjean, a choir member, whose marriage to Arden Sears took place Sunday.
Miss Grosjena was also honored at a variety shower at the home of Susan Wetmore assisted by Mary Lee and Nancy Spencer Saturday evening and another shower at the home of Mrs. Walter Sears, Sr., given by Mrs Walter Sears, Jr., Monday evening."

December 3, 1959 - "Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sears of Pontiac, Mich., spent the Thanksgiving vacation in Wellsboro visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grosjean and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sears Sr. Arden is a music supervisor in the Madison Junior High School in Pontiac and Mrs Sears, the former Sharon Grosjean, is a student at the Michigan State University. They returned home Sunday."

December 23, 1965 - "Gerould Grosjean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grosjean, is home for the holidays from Paul Smiths College, also Mr. and Mrs. Arden Sears, and children Kim and Kevin from Corning, N.Y. will spend Christmas with the family. Mrs. Sears is the former Sharon Grosjean."

September 24, 1970 - "Mrs. Arden Sears is the owner and director of the Corning Day Nursery at Corning, N.Y. which recently expanded its services and initiated a new service of day infant care in cooperation with the Christ Episcopal Church. With these additional services, approximately 35 children can be provided for.
In outlining her program, Mrs. Sears said that learning experiences are coupled with the all day care. The staff provides activities in arts and crafts, music, finger - plays, story telling, puppetry, expansion of vocabulary and simple concept development.
Mrs. Sears, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grosjean of Wellsboro, holds an associates degree in primary education from the University of Michigan. She is assisted by her husband, Arden Sears, Corning Community School Director. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sears of Wellsboro. The couple make all of the large play toys for school.".

May 15, 1975 - "Hallie GrosJean will be ninety today, May 15, 1975. She celebrated Mother's Day at the Penn Wells Hotel where she was treated to dinner by her family.
Those present were her son Rob and wife; granddaughter Sharon Sears, grandson Gerry GrosJean, great-grandchildren Kim and Kerin. Also present was Trudy Sarey, a friend of the family.
Mrs. GrosJean received lovely gifts, a birthday cake and many best wishes from her friends."

November 2, 1977 - "Hallie Bailey Grosjean, age 92, of RD6, Wellsboro, died October 30, 1977 in Wellsboro.
Mrs. Grosjean was born May 15, 1885 in Wellsboro, the daughter of Elmiran and Emma Jane Balfour Bailey. She was a tailor and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro.
She is survived by two sons, Elmiran L. Grosjean of Wellsboro; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Stephen P. McCutchan officiating. Burial in the Wellsboro Cemetery.".
