March 7, 1991 - "Howard W. Hendershott, 92, of Scottsburg, died in his home Wednesday (Feb 27, 1991) after a long illness.
He was born in Groveland on May 7, 1898, a son of David and Mary Wilson Hendershott. Prior to retirement he had been a self-employed contractor and farmer. He was a former member of the Linwood Grange and an avid hunter. Mr. Hendershott was predeceased by his wife, Olive in 1988.
Surviving are a son, Leo of Scottsburg; three sisters, Mable Leadly of Geneseo, Cara Woodcock of Lincoln, R.I., and Gertrude House of Boynton Beach, Fla.; eight grand-children and nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A service was conducted Friday evening in the Chamberlin Funeral Home of Dansville with the Rev. Lynn Nelson officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Groveland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund.".

June 16, 1988 - "Olive Carmichael Hendershott, 92, of Springwater Road in Scottsburg died Tuesday (June 7, 1988) in Noyes Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born Dec. 19, 1895, in Pavilion, she was the daughter of Peter and Mary Walkley Carmichael. A graduate of Geneseo Normal School and Rochester Practical Nursing School, she was a retired licensed practical nurse, having worked at Dansville Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Opportunity Circle of Dansville Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hendershott was predeceased by three sons, Charles, Lloyd and Peter.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Howard Hendershott; a son. Leo of Scottsburg; a brother, Glen Carmichael of Manchester, eight grandchildren and nine great0grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A service was conducted Thursday in the Chamberlin Funeral Home with the Rev. James Bender officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Groveland.
