November 28, 1945 - "Mr. and Mrs. Burton Dane, who have made their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Edsill, 125 Linwood avenue, since his discharge from army service last September, have moved into their new home at 2701 Falls avenue. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Dane, 1137 South street, and spent three years and four months in the Eighth air force, including 19 months overseas. He is now employed at the Wheeler Motor Co.".

December 18, 1958 - "Floyd M. (Pappy) Edsill, former La Porte City resident, has retired from serving as mail carrier in Waterloo for thirty years.
Mr. Edsill and his wife Blanch, lived near La Porte City for about five years from 192-31.".
