Karl became the fourth generation to work at Stanford Glass. He was working in the shop putting in windshields, etc, when he was tewlve.

As related by Ray's wife Helen, he attended Westminster for one year followed by drafting school in Pittsburgh where he got a degree. He met Helen at the church that Helen had attended all her life. After their marriage and Ray's Army time, he became the third generation at Stanford Glas.

4 Raymond E. STANFORD1,2 ( -1983) [1026]. Died 1983.

Related by Helen Stanford, wife of Ray Stanford Jr., son of Ray Stanford, that after returning from Perl Harbor, he worked in Ohio for some time, then worked for his father in the glass company and eventually bought the business. Helen says he was a popular football player for Apollo High. He had lots of curly hair and was quite dashing. However he lost that hair long before she met him.

It is related by Helen Stanford, wife of Ray Stanford Jr., grandson of James Stanford that he started a small glass company when he retired from the mines.
