From the Birmingham Eccentric, July 21, 1927 - Note incorrect spelling of Romizer and Willoubell.

"Ensign W. T. Ronizer, a member of the 1927 graduating class of the U.S. Naval Academy, is being entertained this week by Miss Willowbell Parmenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Parmenter of Crooks road. After a short visit at his home in Winchester, Indiana, Ensign Ronizer will leave for San Francisco where he has been assigned to the Battleship Mississippi."

In the wedding announcement for William and Jean in the November 15, 1929 Birmingham Eccentric, it is noted that William's uncle is Senator Watson, and that his mother is Mrs. E.T. Payne.

October 19, 1924. "Following a three week's motor trip in the east, P.W. Parmenter returned to his home on Crooks road last Friday after leaving Mrs. Parmenter in Syracuse, N.Y., where she will spend several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Stephen Toadvine II. Miss Willowbelle Parmenter made the trip east with her parents and remained in Jenkinstown, Pennsylvania, where she will study at the Beechwood School this winter."

December 16, 1925. "Miss Willabell Parmenter is returning from Beechwood College, Jenkinstown, Penn, to Birmingham for vacation."

January 8, 1926. "Miss Willoubell Parmenter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Parmenter of Crooks road, is returning to Beaver College, Jenkinstown, Penn."

December 2, 1926. "Miss Willowbell Parmenter, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy W. Parmenter, of Crooks road, attended the Army-Navy game at Chicago Saturday as the guest of Midshipman William T. Romiger (Romizer)."

November 15, 1929. "Mr. and Mrs. Percy W. Parmenter, of Crooks road, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Jean Willowbell (Willoubell) Parmenter, to Ensign William T. Romizer, the son of Mrs. E.T. Payne, and the nephew of Senator Watson, of Washington. The wedding will take place in December.".

From The Star Press (Muncie Indiana), February 18, 1937.

"Mrs. Ed Payhne of this city, has received word that her daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Romizer, was seriously burned in an explosion which occurred in the bathrom at the home of her mother, Mrs. Parmenter, near Detroit. Mrs. Romizer was removed to the hospital, where blood transfusions are being administered. Her sister, Miss Ida Permenter, R.N., is at her bedside.".

From The Richmond Item, Richard, IN, March 11, 1937.

"Word was received here Wednesday by Mrs. Ed Payne of East North Street that her daughter-in-law, Mrs. William romizer, who sustained severe burns about three weeks agao, has been dismissed from the Harper Hospital in Detroit and taken to the home of her mother, Mrs. P.W. Palmenter at Royal Oak, Mich.
The report also stated that Mrs. Romizer's face would not be scarred and her hands are also healing satisfactorilyh. Mr. and Mrs. Romizer's son, Billy, is attending school in Winchester".

From The Richmond Item, Richmond, IN, March 27, 1937.

"Mr. and Mrs. Ed Payne and grandson Billy Romizer will leave Saturday morning for Detroit to remain until Monday with Mrs. William Romizer, who is recovering satisfactorilly from severe burns which she recentlyh sustained in an explosion, at the home of her mother. Mr. Romizer will also go to Detroit for the week end from Chicago.".

Note on Marriage to William Taylor ROMIZER: From the Birmingham Eccentric January 5, 1928. "Miss Jean Parmenter Becomes Bride Monday of Indiana Man. Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Parmenter of Crooks road, anounce the marriage of their daughter Miss Jean Willowbell (Willoubell) Parmenter to Ensign William Taylor Romizer, son of Mrs. E.J. Payne, of Winchester, Ind., Jan. 2 at 8:00 p.m. at the Parmenter Residence. Miss Ida Esther (incorrect middle name) Parmenter, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Stephen T. (P.) Toadvine, another sister was matron of honor. William Mandenhall of Winchester, Ind., was best man. Rev. David Leon Woodward, of the Birmingham Baptist Church read the marriage ceremony. The young people left for California, where the bridegroom is stationed at San Pedro, on the U.S.S. Mississippi. Honoring Miss Parmenter, a number of parties have been given during the past two weeks, among them was one given by her aunt, Mrs. Frank Burnett of Southfield avenue.".

"Margot Bockus Romizer, now retired from Doubleday, does occasional free-lance asignments and enjoys going with her husband as he travels the world for G.E., installing turbine-generators. They've been to Guam, rinidad, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and Canada.".
