December 28, 1961 - "The First Methodist Church of Wellsboro was the scene Friday evening, December 22, 1961 of a very pretty double ring ceremony which united in marriage, Miss Nina Mae Bowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowers and Jerome Copley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne C. Copley. Both are of Wellsboro RD."

June 8, 1967 - "Mrs. Rose Goldsby of Memphis, Tennessee has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Henry Bowers and family at Stoney Fork. She arrived in time to welcome her great-grandson Frank, home from the hospital. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome K. Copley. It has been six years since her last visit to her family".

July 31, 1941 - "Henry Bowers, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bowers, Wellsboro, and Miss Freda Perry Wellsboro, were injured in automobile accident on Route 6 east of Wellsboro, Sunday at 9:30 p.m.
The car careened off the highway, dropped into the yard of Walter Lent, hit a tree and was demolished.
Bowers was treated by Dr. William Bache for two fractured ribs. Miss Perry received lacerations of the head and legs."
December 5, 1945 - "BOWERS ON WAY HOME - Pearl Harbor - Henry Bowers S 1/c, USNR, husband of Mrs. Freda J. Bowers, of 90 West avenue, Wellsboro, is on his way home. Bowers is one of over 1,250 high-point Navy veterans whom the "Magic Carpet" is bringing back to the State aboard the U.S.S. Faerisle, one of the more than 250 carriers, battleships, cruisers and attack transports in the Navy's famed "Magic Carpet" fleet, which left Okinawa Nov. 15 and is scheduled to arrive in San Francisco about Dec. 1.".

October 10, 1047 - "BIRTHDAY PARTY - A weiner roast was held on the lawn, Sept. 4, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Bowers in honor of their daughter, Ann.
Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowers and children Nina Mae and Ronald.".

Copley and family; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bowers and son; Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Perry and family of Blossburg; Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Perry and family of Little Marsh, Mrs. Retha Watkins and family of Lawrenceville; Robert Knapp of Mansfield, Mrs Alfred Comfort of Watkins Glen, and a very surprising visit from Mrs. Bowers' sister, Treva Gee and family of Puerto Rico. It had been three years since she had been home.".

January 14, 1920 - "Cecil S. Perry, of Westfield, and Miss Rose Ruby Comfort were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Comfort, in Lawrenceville, Thursday afternoon, by Rev. E.F. Phelps, of Painter Run."

November 3, 1976 - "Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wagner of Mansfield and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bowers, RD 5, Wellsboro have returned from a trip to Tennessee. While there they visited Mrs. Bower's mother, Mrs. Rose Goldsby of Millington, Tenn. and brother John Cowles of Arlington, Tenn. Mrs. Goldsby and John Cowles are former residents of Wellsboro. The Wagners and Bowers traveled over 2500 miles enjoying many places of interest also crossing over into Arkansas before returning home.".
