October 22, 1959 - "Mrs. Louis Grosjean attended Bryant and Stratton Business School graduation exercises Sunday, where her grandson, Duane Grosjean was one of the graduates. Duane finished his course in June. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmeron Grosjean of Corning and is employed in the office of the Terminal of Commerce at Tonawanda, NY.".

"It was learned that Elmeron L. Grosjean was with the first wave of the 5th to land on Iwo Jima. He writes home he is safe, dirty and has lost weight but is lucky to have only lost that. His brother, Robert Grosjean, a barber on the Tuscana somewhere in the Pacific, is expected to leave for a long voyage, the longest trip he has ever taken.".
