February 27, 1930 - "Raymond Edsill, a former LaPorte City boy but now living in Waterloo, and Miss Ruth Armstrong, also of Waterloo, were married last Saturday evening in the church home of Grace Methodist church. The service was read by the pastor, Rev Harvey C. Travis, and was witnessed by the grooms's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Audry Edsill.
The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Audry Edsill and has always lived in this vicinity. He completed his high school course here with the class of 1925 and afterward attended the Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls. For the past two years he has been employed in the Rath Packing house. The bride is a stranger to local people but is said to be a capable young woman. She has been employed for some time in the Model laundry in Waterloo and will continue her work for the present.".
